Data controller
The controller of the data collected on this website is Eos-Conciergerie, whose registered office is at 85 chemin de la Baie, 83110 Sanary-sur-Mer, France.
For any question regarding your personal data, you may write to us at contact@laclefduchateau.com.
A data protection officer has been appointed: Émilie Cartray, who can be reached at that same address.
Data we collect
Contact and availability form — your first and last name, your email address, your telephone number if you provide it, and the details of your project: message, occasion, number of guests, intended dates and their flexibility, and the estate your enquiry relates to.
Owners' form — the same contact details, together with the information about the property you submit to us.
Guidance questionnaire — your answers, the estates suggested to you and the time spent on the questionnaire, linked to a random session identifier. That identifier contains no personally identifying data; it serves only to connect your questionnaire to a later enquiry.
IP address — stored in anonymised form alongside your enquiry: the last block of an IPv4 address is zeroed, an IPv6 address is truncated to its first 48 bits. In that form it cannot identify you.
We collect no payment data on this website, and no special category data within the meaning of Article 9 GDPR.
Purposes and legal bases
Answering your enquiries and organising your stay — legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract.
Suggesting estates matching your project from the questionnaire — legal basis: your consent, given by completing the questionnaire.
Preventing automated submissions and abuse of the form, using the anonymised IP address — legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the service.
Measuring website audience and evaluating our advertising campaigns — legal basis: your consent, collected through the banner shown on your first visit.
Retention periods
Enquiries: twenty-four months from receipt, then deleted.
Questionnaire answers: retained for as long as needed to improve our recommendations, in a form containing no personally identifying data.
Cookie choice: kept in your browser until you clear its browsing data.
Audience measurement trackers: the periods specific to each tool are set out in the "Cookies and trackers" section.
Recipients and processors
Your data is accessible only to the members of our team handling your enquiry. It is never sold, rented or transferred to third parties for commercial purposes.
Where an enquiry concerns a specific estate, the details needed to organise your stay are passed to the owner or manager of the property.
We use the following technical providers: Vercel, Inc. for website hosting and, where you have consented to it, for audience measurement; IONOS SE for hosting the management interface and mail service, on infrastructure located in Germany; Cloudflare, Inc. for delivering photographs; Google Ireland Limited for audience measurement and advertising, where you have consented to it.
Transfers outside the European Union
Some of our providers are established in the United States. Such transfers are governed by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and, where applicable, by those providers' certification under the EU—US Data Privacy Framework.
The data you send us through the form is itself hosted in Germany, within the European Union.
Cookies and trackers
On your first visit, a banner lets you accept or refuse audience measurement and advertising trackers. None of these trackers is set before you have accepted.
Your choice is recorded in your browser's local storage, under the key "cdc_cookie_consent". That record is strictly necessary to honour your decision: it requires no consent, and is shared with no one.
If you accept, we enable Google Tag Manager — which loads our audience measurement and Google advertising campaign tracking tools — together with Vercel audience measurement. If you refuse, neither of these tools is loaded.
To change your mind, clear this site's browsing data: the banner will be shown to you again on your next visit.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, and data portability. Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.
You may also give directions concerning the fate of your data after your death.
To exercise these rights, write to us at contact@laclefduchateau.com. We will respond within one month. Proof of identity may be requested where there is reasonable doubt as to the identity of the person making the request.
If, having contacted us, you consider that your rights are not being respected, you may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority — Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés, 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07 — cnil.fr.
Security
Exchanges between your browser and the website are encrypted. Access to enquiries is restricted to authorised personnel and protected by authentication.
As no system is infallible, we undertake to inform you, and the supervisory authority, of any data breach likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms.
Changes
This policy may be amended to reflect legal or technical developments, or changes in our practices. The date of the latest update appears at the top of the page.
